STORIES OF LOVE - EPISODE 1, JON AND NATALIA

STORIES OF LOVE - EPISODE 1, JON AND NATALIA

We’re celebrating stories of LOVE this Valentine’s!

Keep up with us over the next couple of weeks as we explore varying narratives of love.

Our first episode in this series features Jon & Natalia; a power couple with a shared talent for acting and a passion for travelling. We sat down with them to discuss their thoughts on love, each other and get some background behind their relationship.

  1. When and how did you meet?

Natalia: We met in May 2014 whilst I was visiting my sister. I was talking to my friend outside a bar and out of the corner of my eye I saw him approaching us. He started to talk, and to be honest at first I thought he was annoying, but I changed my mind haha.

  1. What does love mean to you?

Jon: To me it’s loving another person in any situation. Trusting someone to want to be with you through think and thin.

  1. What quality do you admire most in each other?

Natalia: His honesty <3

Jon: Her caring nature.

  1. Name 3 things you have in common and 3 ways you differ?

Jon: When it comes to things we share in common-well we’re both big foodies; namely Asian and spicy. We both love travelling and try to do so as often as we can. We also both like nature; whether is gardening or spending time outdoors. In this way its great that we can share our passion together.

Natalia: I’ll tackle where we differ haha. Definitely cleanliness; one of us is a bit messy. Jon is jokes around a lot more than I do, despite the decade difference between us. Finally he’s more of a savoury food lover and I have a sweet tooth.

  1. Name a quirk or habit your partner has that you love?

Natalia: The way he holds a spoon haha; like a child. I find myself amused by that.

Jon: Her childlike tendency to be so easily amused by simple things - such as how I hold a spoon!

  1. How has your love changed your lives?

Jon: Well we got each other out of it. It brought Nat to the lovely laid-back island of Malta, and soon to a mountain town in Canada. We were able to dodge the Tinder generation. It gave us the security and stability of knowing there's somebody for us always.

Natalia: It made Jon grow up a bit; now he only acts fifteen years younger instead of like a teenager.
