Yes, we can! As Mvintage Founder Krystle Penza said in her New Year's Day 2023 message, these three simple words serve as a daily reminder to us all that we will never give up on working towards achieving our dreams, no matter what.

They are, in fact, the epitome of what the Mvintage community is all about - from our valued customers, to our employees, to all those who we support and collaborate with in one way or another on a daily basis. Because Mvintage is all about empowering each other, as a community.

Those we collaborate with regularly include the lovely ladies from Women for Women Foundation - Malta. We met with three of them to get some insight into what they do at the Foundation and why they love what they do.

SUPPORTING WOMEN WHO HAVE GOALS, BUT LACK THE RESOURCES

The Foundation's General Manager, Elaine Compagno, explained: "We support women who have goals... those who have a plan, but lack the necessary resources. We look at every individual case in order to cater for their specific needs, and then match them up with the right persons who would be able to guide and support them".

Charlene Mifsud, the Foundation's Logistics Coordinator & Administrator, went on to say that the ladies they help are offered assistance on all fronts, be it financial assistance, any help they might need with shopping and other daily needs, as well as other forms of assistance such as emotional support.

HELPING WOMEN BUILD UP THEIR CONFIDENCE

One of the Foundation's mentors, Christine Garzia, spoke about the Foundation's central goal, that is to help women build up their confidence, and to believe in themselves and in their capabilities.

All three women spoke about the importance of teamwork at the Foundation, saying the Women for Women community is all about support.

"What I enjoy the most," explained Elaine, "is when I see success stories coming to fruition... when you see women grasping an opportunity and running with it".

LIFTING EACH OTHER UP

"Together, as a community of women, we can empower others who need that kind of support, to lift each other up, and not to give a hand out, but to give a hand up."

"You can never give up, you have to be strong and always believe in yourself. Don't let anyone make you feel that you're not worth it," Charlene added.
